National Women in Agriculture Association South Carolina
"Great things are achieved when adequate resources are coupled with energy, initiative, and perseverance of women in rural and urban communities."
our mission.
NWIAA | SC exists to support the women who are leading and feeding communities across the Palmetto State, while providing the tools and training for new and beginning women farmers to launch successful agribusinesses and access land for farming.
NWIAA | SC is an agriculture outreach collective, powered by community, mutual aid and local entrepreneurship. NWIAA| SC believes women, especially rural women, have been neglected when it comes to participation in South Carolina's $50 billion dollar agriculture industry.
Through ongoing training, programming and education opportunities, we seek to empower the women of our state who desire to start local community gardens or grow their farm enterprise year over year.
our history.
Founded in July of 2022, NWIAA | SC is committed to the national organization goals of putting healthy, homegrown food in every community and to succeed in agribusiness and farming.
The National Women In Agriculture Association (NWIAA) was founded and established in February 2008 by Dr. Tammy Gray-Steele and is headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK.
